WELCOME NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT PROF. DEJAN S. MILETIĆ

Dear and respected Ladies and Gentlemen,

We wish you a warm welcome to the website of the Center for Globalization Studies (CGS).

If you find us at random, I hope you will henceforth become and remain our friend and support our future work. If you are here in order to be informed about our activities, projects, writings, or intentions, we want you to know that you have appeared at the right time.

The Center is a relatively small, independent, non-governmental, non-political organization, but our ambitions are very high and, in our opinion, essential for the future of Serbia, the Balkans and Europe.

We believe that is enough of false morality, petty politics and concealing of true intentions. It's time for bright, clear, concrete steps that carry the force of change and the power of creating a new social environment. With decisive work, clearly aimed at modern Serbia and the Balkans of XXI century, and with strong support and participation of each one of you, we can succeed in our efforts to preserve the dignity of the citizens in this region, and also to improve the quality and value of life of each individual. In that sense Center has started the initiative for "Pro Euro-Atlantic Serbia!", which is going to worth as much as the number and value of its supporters.

The Balkans, by its potential should be European "pearl", and not European "curse". No matter what happened and whose fault was the sad recent history, it is time now to learn the historical lesson and realize the beauty of cultural and religious differences that can intrinsically enrich us and instead of being our sources of conflict they can become our advantage in a world that is increasingly globalized despite turbulent times in which we live today. Many have profited from our misfortune, many have used our weaknesses, constantly using the principle of divide et impera (divide and rule), but it is time to say - ENOUGH!

We fight for life and joy, and not for the death and suffering!
We work for the future, not for the past!
We are FOR, not against!
We love, we do not hate!

We kindly invite you to carefully review the contents of our website in hope that you will recognize the value of our research, the truth of our views and the sincerity of our faith in a brighter future. If we can touch you with all our thoughts and work, join us on this path of enlightenment of Serbia and the Balkans, whose goal is not only our, but also European and planetary progress. We want to live in a world of peace, well-being, prosperity, opportunities… In a world far better than the one in which we live today.

Together we can and we want more of what they offer us!
